Special Collection for Vocations

Parish To-Do List:

Mid May

• Parishes receive packages with pledge envelopes in the mail. 

May 30-31  •  Announcement Weekend

• Pulpit Announcement read at all Masses. 
• Include Bishop Peter’s letter in bulletin 

June 6-7 • Special Collection for Vocations

• Preach on vocations

• Place envelopes in pews

• Include bulletin blurb

• Use special Prayers of the Faithful

• Seminarians will visit a handful of parishes on the weekend of June 6-7 to share their vocation stories and promote this special collection. The Vocation Office will be in touch if this applies to your parish. 

After Collection 

• Send all envelopes and checks for this special collection unopened together in a large envelope directly to the diocese for processing and acknowledgement.
• Include reminder bulletin blurb about the special collection on June 13-14 and June 20-21.
