My name is Ryan Olenick. I was born in Pocatello, Idaho and am a graduate of Century High School – Go Diamondbacks! After graduating in 2015, I moved to Moscow, Idaho to obtain my bachelor’s degree in wildlife resources at the University of Idaho. I graduated U of I in 2019 and made the great decision to join The Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) for 3 great years. My first two years I lived in Fullerton, California and then Grand Junction, Colorado.
In both places, I saw beautiful churches, breathtaking views, and met some of the most amazing people ever. With all that I learned and experienced in my time with FOCUS, I decided to use the gifts the Lord gave me and discern the priesthood. After contacting Fr. Nathan Dail in March 2022 and asking about the seminarian process, I entered the propaedeutic program (spirituality year) at Saint Paul Seminary last fall. I am now continuing my formation in Pre-Theology I and am so blessed to be able to see what the Lord has in store for my life. Please pray for me as I continue discerning this path to priesthood.
